This past Saturday, July 12, Jared and I competed in our second Olympic triathlon of the summer. We left to head up up to Coalville (20 min. north of Park City) at 4:30 in the morning, after having slept only three hours. Upon parking our car we rode our bikes with all our gear for a mile to the start start in thirty degree weather. My thighs were frozen with every pulse of the wind against my legs for the whole mile... I was grateful to get into my wetsuit and into the water! I took third place in my Athena age group!
My times were as follows: 1500 m swim (32.47 min), 26 mile bike (1.33 hours), and 6.2 mile run (52.53 min.), with an overall time of 3 hours 4 minutes.
