Reverting to the 1850's (PG-13)

My toe was smashed this weekend, and I compounded the problem by doing a triathlon on it. In addition to the tears I've dropped from the pain, my toe has done a substantial amount of weeping on its own. The drilling was to alleviate the swelling. I'm not going to lie, I was scared.
