This Touched Me

Elder Eyring recounts a memory in his book, "To Draw Closer to God." It centers around his father-scientist, Henry Eyring, whose works of technical literature I utilize in my own research. Henry was suffering with bone cancer and constantly in the hospital. His son frequently spent the night with him and says of his experience,
One night when I was not with him and the pain seemed more than he could bear, he somehow got out of bed and on his knees beside it--I know not how. He pled with God to know why he was suffering so. And the next morning he said, with quite firmness, "I know why now. God needs brave sons."

Thank you for sharing, it touched me as well. Especially imagining how Pres. Eyring would share it. Thank you so much, friend.
