Moa Part 1: Settng Camp and Landscape Arch

The Beginning
We all arrived in Green River, UT (only 40 min from Moab) at different times and set camp. Joe/Kristin, Steve/Mindy, and Tiff/Mike engaged in real camping, and the Woods Cross VDG's practiced steroid camping (i.e. a tent trailer) The true sportsman award goes to Buzzer, who spent the night with the ants in the grass.

Mommers was definitely the food queen; planning and preparing gourmet meals. A breakfast of bagels, cereal, strawberries, cantaloupe, and freshly cooked eggs with salsa was our first Moab meal.

Hiking to Landscape Arch
We bested bugs, dirt, rocky terrain, tourists, and tired babies to see Landscape Arch. Um hm, let me correct myself. Tired babies were not present. Jenna and Jacob had gone out 'training' with Kristin for several weeks prior to our trip. They even walked hills. Indeed, they had more energy than most of us!
Mike and T won the 'cutest couple award,' next to Steve/Mindy, Joe/Kristin, and Mom/Dad. How blessed I am to have wonderful examples of loving couples.

They scaled a huge rock face just to take this one picture!... or maybe it was for adventure.

A quick trip to sanddune arch in memory of all our childhood exploration and sand fights.

Sick. Please destroy the picture posted of Mike and Me. THANK YOU. It's all too truistic of me. How depressing.
