Mommers and I started out for an adventure up Bell Canyon. What was listed as a 'moderate' hike turned in reality to be a bolder climb of steep elevation gain up a granite-filled riverbed. We were undaunted, and continued upward.
Just looking for my frog-prince. He may happen to be a warty-Boreal toad.
On our way down the trail, we encountered a McDonald super-size snake. It was a garter snake at least five feet long and 2.5 inches in diameter. I tried the old 'grab-it-by-the-head' tactic. Needless to say, it worked!
