My birthday this year was one of my best. It seems each year brings surprises and de-surprises that are unanticipted, but each adds a new depth to my happiness and growth. I can honestly say that I've experienced unprecedented growth in the past year (this sounds financial, but it isn't).
Some highlights include: teaching a calculus and algebra class, moving home from school, starting a tutoring business, training for an ironman, taking 1st place in my age category in a triathon, taking 3rd place at a 5K, waitressing (it was my lifelong aspiration as a little girl!), becoming best friends with my family, starting up a string quartet

To start the birthday picture parade, I always have to put up the most flattering: Mommers annually wakes up the birthday princess as a daunting hour, complete with a camera.
