May is the month of History, and J and I took a tour of the Idaho National Laboratory site. The 'site' is an 890 mi2 dessert government area, guarded by clearance-only entrance and guards with guns. Consequently, access is for personnel is limited to only certain areas with a 'need-to-know' basis (if this sounds at all like a James Bond movie, it could be--without the gun fights. Or excitement. Or Bond). A tour of the archeological sites happens only once a year, and I had to twist a couple of arms to ensure participation.
