Passing Past

It's not the passing, or
even the passing on;
it's the passing
past unmoved, ungone.

Being the same as one
began, yet now passed
on and through: not grown,
just done, life unamassed,
unrecognized, untrue.

One's body bows to time
and age, begets it's
natural course; then what
of muted life-spirits
ungraced by learning's force?

Without the stepping, the
wind and waves wash o'r
an empty shore, and leave
behind untarnished lands
of absent written score.

So bolster strength and muster
arms, and fight for life in
God, seek learning in the
neverlands of hope and truth and
awe!
