Bear Lake

Like chocolate donuts after a quickly-finished paper route, Bear Lake ranks high among the sweetest of childhood memories. Like jelly-filled donuts, we'd surround ourselves with walls of sand, and hide in the middle, plump with joy and cherry-red from the sun.

This expedition was a bit colder than I recall : we were forced inside from the rain. We didn't even hike to the oldest tree in Utah! (sniff sniff) Instead, leave it to Mommers to drive her car the 400 meters to the swimming pool :).
