I chatted with a couple at the airport and parted with "Have a nice life."Ironically, beseechingly, I try to imbue my memory with feelings as well as pictures. Then if the fabrics fade, I can still recall the feelings of life coursing red hot behind my eyes, or heavy on my limbs.
Puerto Vallarta was both a memory and a feeling. The constancy of the beach-waves was the most intriguing for me. It was a vibrating rhythm, reifying grace, loss, joy, and lonliness. The sunsets were molten gold skimming endless expanse. It was beautiful.
