Love-Folly

The unspoken folly of adoration,
is that when it joys, you joy,
when it falls, you fall.

So if we build up a young love
we fly on borrowed wings,
tasting of escalation unowned:
making it more sweet.

Our dreams come from wells
we don't own, and taste of pure
water tinted with aspirations,
and the glory of purity.

And when lost it become a fierce,
curdling, and frenzied bitter
troupe of the unattainable
sparkling stars out of reach,
and stinking dank-water.

But we must not forgo adoration
or even our young love
for they are a joy of childhood
and a reminiscence kept.

Instead, feel the tingling behind
our bent shoulders, climb through
the breathless wind, drink of
future, and then,
surrounded by our hopes
seek out our love.

Chin up chica! Exercise is wonderful. Feeling the resistance, knowing it makes us stronger, running and lifting is fun. Believing we'll never lift the bar, make the mile, or focusing on the pain, set backs, or injury in the endeavor steals resolve and robs results. Isn't life wonderful - WE FEEL! And because we feel, we learn. Love is never lost, only counterfeits.
You're awesome!

Hmmmm... I don't think my poem was explicit enough. It was actually about the joy of true love, not the needy-interdependence of young as cuddled love. When you are confident in yourself, you live in love; when there is no confidence, it is borrowed love.

Oh, and life is definitely beautiful :)!

I must concur with the author...She is speaking of love--pure, unabated, unadulterated love. Not the psuedostratified sellout version of immature, untried, codependant love of the coddled insecure individuals who are trying to attach themselves to someone in a desperate attempt to fill the void that resonates within their hollow, undeveloped souls.
